Welcome to Ecobuildher, a transformative initiative nestled in the heart of Osun state’s Egbedi community. Committed to empowering single mothers, widows, and vulnerable individuals, Ecobuildher stands as a beacon for women’s empowerment. Our mission revolves around imparting sustainable building construction skills through innovative education methods, breaking down barriers hindering access to opportunities for deserving women.
At the core of Ecobuildher lies a dedication to providing intensive training in various construction disciplines, fostering gender equality by encouraging women to enter traditionally male-dominated fields. With a goal to empower 20 women, participants can specialize in areas from bricklaying to interior decoration, supplemented by training in computer literacy, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
Beyond individual empowerment, Ecobuildher contributes to the local workforce and champions environmentally friendly practices in the construction industry. As these women gain proficiency in sustainable building techniques, they become agents of positive change, fostering a more inclusive and eco-conscious future. Join us in embodying the spirit of resilience, gender equality, and community development, paving the way for a stronger, more empowered Egbedi community. The unveiling event occurred on Jan 17, 2024, with community awareness on Jan 20, 2024.
